The Eisenhowr Step and
Strap Assist

During President-elect Dwight D. Eisenhower's
visit to Korea in 1952 a Birddog was especially prepared for his
visit. A step was installed under the entry door and to assist
is egress into and out of the back seat, a strap was installed
on the aft door post. Additionally, carpet was installed on the
floor, the overhead windows were covered with modified interior
panels, and a vinyl covering was applied to the seat cushions to
dress up the interior.
